News of previous Toddlers & Tiaras star Kailia Posey’s passing was verified by her mom, Marcy Posey Gatterman, on May 2. Now, a declaration from her household has shed light on her cause of death.

More information surrounding Kailia Posey‘s death haveactually been launched.

In a declaration shared to TMZ on May 3, the household of the previous Toddlers & Tiaras star validated she passedaway by suicide. She was 16 years old.

“Although she was an achieved teen with a intense future ahead of her, sadly in one impetuous minute, she made the rash choice to end her earthly life,” the household’s declaration read. “She won numerous crowns & prizes after contending on the pageant circuit her whole life … Her extremely well-known skill as a contortionist had currently led to expert touring task provides, and she had justrecently been chosen to be a cheerleader at her high school next fall.”

News of Kailia’s death was veryfirst validated by her mom, Marcy Posey Gatterman, on May 2 in a Facebook post. Alongside a image of the teenager in a glittery gold dress, the matriarch composed, “I wear’t have words or any ideas. A stunning infant lady is gone.”

Asking fans for personalprivacy as the household grieved the loss, Marcy included, “My infant permanently.”


Kailia, who was skilled by her mom to be a contortionist, was 5 years old when she appeared on a 2012 episode of Toddlers & Tiaras that recorded the California Tropic Arizona pageant. She increased to popularity after a smiling face she made throughout an interview on the TLC truth series endedupbeing a viral meme online. 

Marcy formerly said on the reveal that her child began completing in pageants at the age of 3. Describing Kailia as a mix of a “cuddly youngpuppy you simply desire to familypet and a spicy monkey,” Marcy raved of her kid, “She’s a professional when she strikes that phase, she’ll state she’s worried however when she strikes that phase, she’s a pro. She’s gonna beat you, every time.”


“Kailia has a really great skill,” she continued. “I wear’t understand anyperson that’s competitors for Kailia.”

The series ended in 2013 after 7 seasons, however Kailia continued to complete in pageants. In February, she was named 2nd runner-up in the Miss Washington Teen USA pageant and wellknown the special event with an Instagram post captioned, “One word. Thankful.”

According to Marcy, Kailia made her high school’s football cheer group in late April.

“The woman went out of her convenience zone and worked so hard in toppling,” Marcy wrote in an April 27 Facebook post. “I am so proud of her and all the men and gals that made it.”
