Both defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and broad receiver Jarvis Landry might return to the Cleveland Browns this offseason, and their particular representatives hinted at a possible reunion.

Clowney’s representative Kennard McGuire informed Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal there is “mutual interest” inbetween the veteran edge-rusher and the group.

“There’s some shared interest,” Landry’s representative Roosevelt Barnes included of talks inbetween his customer and the Browns. “There’s some other groups that, of course, are interested, too. We’ll simply have to see how things play out.”

Clowney, 29, had a strong season for the Browns in 2021, notching 37 dealswith (11 for loss), 9 sacks and 2 required fumbles in 14 videogames. He formed a strong one-two punch off the edge with star Myles Garrett, and a return to Cleveland would make sense.

Landry’s scenario is a bit more madecomplex.

The veteran large receiver was launched by the Browns earlier in March in a cost-cutting relocation after Landry was gave approval to lookfor a trade however absolutelynothing emerged.

It was a divorce that hadactually been developing, which Landry hinted at in February:

But regardlessof his release, Cleveland’s questionable acquisition of quarterback Deshaun Watson may assistin a reunion.

Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported on March 19 that Landry “wanted absolutelynothing more than to win a Super Bowl here, and he’s inspired to return now that Watson and [Amari] Cooper are here and the Browns have a bona fide possibility.”

Landry, a five-time Pro Bowler, was picked to 2 Pro Bowls with the Browns. He did have something of a down season in 2021, capturing simply 52 passes for 570 lawns and 2 ratings in 12 videogames. But his own injuries, paired with the average efficiency of quarterback Baker Mayfield, played a part.

And for a Browns group plainly gunning for a Super Bowl title in the coming years, taking him back to surround Watson with as lotsof weapons as possible would make sense.

“I love Jarvis the gamer. I love Jarvis the individual,” head coach Kevin Stefanski informed pressreporters on Monday. “But we’ve got to let all that play out.”
