Okanagan Cultivators finalizes Contract with EMMAC Life Sciences Group

Okanagan Cultivators and British Columbia-based EMMAC Life Sciences Group recently shared some exciting news for followers of the cannabis industry. EMMAC Life Sciences Group signed a long-term contract with Okanagan Cultivators to assist in European product sales to Okanagan clients.

EMMAC Life Sciences Group has a major global presence and is a highly respected company amongst cannabis experts. The group maintains several supply and distribution partnerships across Europe. EMMAC Life Sciences Limited is Europe’s largest vertically integrated independent cannabis company, according to their website. They have even been featured on BBC and have partnered with Imperial College London for a long-term research program.

EMMAC Life Sciences Group was recently acquired by Curaleaf, another market leader in the cannabis industry. This American company currently has 103 dispensaries, 22 cultivation sites and more than 30 processing sites. Curaleaf offers a wide range of cannabis products at their physical locations and for sale online.

Okanagan Cultivators is out maneuvering the competition with international deals, ahead of their planned listing on public exchange in Canada.

Long term contract in Vanuatu

Okanagan Cultivators announced that they made another international deal, this time with a farm on Vanuatu.

The Republic of Vanuatu is an island nation in the South Pacific Ocean. Vanuatu comprises over 80 islands stretching over 1,300 kilometers and contains several active volcanoes.

Vanuatu Island Campos Farms signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Okanagan Cultivators to supply 30 tonnes per year of THC cannabis flower. The contract is set for 10 years, with a 100-year land lease planned. Campos will begin production soon, during 2021.

Remedy Pharmacy joins Okanagan Cultivators

Okanagan Cultivators also announced a new partnership with another international cannabis company who is  a major medical marijuana distributor.

Okanagan Cultivators signed into a 10-year long term contract with Remedy Pharmacy to provide several products through their European clients. The first order is set to be delivered this year.

Remedy Pharmacy has several European locations and is well known for their quality products. The brand has a respected global presence and offers useful education about cannabis and its health benefits.

This strategic partnership places Okanagan Cultivators in a prime position to grow their distribution and reach more clients internationally.

Contracts and ground breaking in Israel

Along with these recent developments, Okanagan Cultivators has signed long term contracts with international governing bodies and major corporations. One of these latest contracts will position Okanagan Cultivators well in the Middle East.

On top of this, Okanagan Cultivators plans to break ground on a new facility in the Middle East in 2021.

The cannabis cultivators announced that they signed into a long term contract with the State of Israel this year. Through this deal Okanagan Cultivators will provide the State of  Israel with 200 kilograms of THC flower per month.

This deal is poised to be highly profitable with a massive market potential for Okanagan Cultivators. Israel is the leader of marijuana use in the Middle East, and will likely continue on this path for years. A survey from 2017 revealed that 27% of Israelis ages 18-65 years old reported using cannabis in the last year.

The medicinal use of cannabis has been permitted in Israel for nearly 30 years now. In 2019 the Israeli government also decriminalized the use of cannabis for those 18 years old and older.

Israeli scientists have played a large role in researching the medical applications and properties of cannabis since the 1960s. The Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Raphael Mechoulam and Yechiel Gaoni first isolated THC from cannabis in 1964. Some years later, Mechoulam was part of the research team who discovered anandamide

Okanagan Cultivators will be continuing on their international expansion later in 2021.
